We currently have an exciting and impactful career opportunity as a Production Manager. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate the activities of a production line, prepare schedules, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. As a Production Manager, you will supervise and direct the daily activities of production line workers, assigning tasks, ensuring coordination between different teams, ensuring their safety, and monitoring their performance. You will also train new hires, manage scheduling and work conflicts, monitor safety, and promote internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Additionally, you will partner cross-functionally with other departments to prepare, maintain, and update documentation related to operating procedures, safety, and quality standards. Collaboration with other Production Managers in continuous improvement projects for the facility will also be a key part of your role.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the daily activities of production line workers, assigning tasks and ensuring coordination between different teams.
  • Ensure the safety of production line workers and monitor their performance.
  • Train new hires and manage scheduling and work conflicts.
  • Promote internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with other departments to prepare, maintain, and update documentation related to operating procedures, safety, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other Production Managers in continuous improvement projects for the facility.

Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing teams to production, budgetary, and efficiency targets.
  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment or similar roles, including the military.
  • Experience with powdercoat systems, liquid paint systems, pre-treat chemical application, and shot blast operations.
  • Experience in multiple manufacturing support disciplines.
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of Lean Manufacturing processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of human resources and talent management processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing safety and ability to identify work-related hazards.
  • Understanding of evaluating current product quality and production methods.
  • Ability to plan and organize both time and resources effectively.
