About The Position

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of all control systems, including sound and lighting, televisions, and related equipment. This role involves maintaining a budget and schedule, providing end-user support, and ensuring that all equipment is operational. The Production Manager will also create and manage schedules for tech staff, collaborate with team members for event-specific needs, and maintain strong relationships with local and regional entertainment agencies. The position requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in AV.
  • Ability to assume responsibility for independent/self-directed action.
  • Strong guest service skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple ongoing activities, projects, or assignments.
  • Ability to interpret and explain company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to follow all policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to identify circumstances that require notification and approval of others.
  • Strong technical/production skills in audio and live audio mixing.
  • Strong background in video switching, camera operation, and media maintenance.
  • Familiarity with lighting systems such as Light Jockey, Grand MA, Hog, Chauvet, etc.
  • Fluency with common software and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of TV networks and their operations.
  • Flexibility to handle a broad variety of tasks and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a budget and schedule for configuring, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and providing end-user support for all control systems.
  • Maintain daily programming schedule/spreadsheet for onsite displays.
  • Follow accounting procedures for all artist payments.
  • Provide adequate tech coverage for daily operations.
  • Create monthly schedules for tech staff.
  • Collaborate with team members to determine event-specific needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with all local/regional entertainment agencies.
  • Produce pre-game activation and events.
  • Advance national acts and coordinate with all internal teams.
  • Fulfill rider requirements and negotiate to save money.
  • Hire all production staff for events.
  • Oversee and manage production/concert operations to budget.
  • Budget for materials and troubleshoot sound, lighting, and display systems.
  • Create and maintain entertainment equipment budget for inventory and replacement parts.
  • Verify that all equipment is fully operational and maintain maintenance/repair logs.
  • Assist in maintaining back-of-house entertainment systems.
  • Assist in LED maintenance arrangements.
  • Adhere to established department and property policies regarding guest service standards.
  • Follow non-uniformed appearance standards while on duty.
  • Work flexible hours including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
