About the position

The Production Manager at Freedom Forever is responsible for organizing and leading the branch installation teams for residential solar projects. This role involves close collaboration with the Branch Coordinator and Branch Manager to ensure that all installations meet company standards and are executed efficiently and safely. The Production Manager will oversee the installation process, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate installations of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems.
  • Adhere to contract specifications and established policies and procedures.
  • Manage, motivate, and mentor installation and administrative staff involved in solar project installations.
  • Follow established safety procedures for each installation.
  • Be accountable for key performance metrics for installation teams.
  • Evaluate and manage resources and processes for successful project completion.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, customer service, and productivity throughout the installation process.
  • Ensure proper safety training and equipment for installation team members.
  • Apply 'Best Practices' throughout the installation operation.
  • Remotely assess proposed solar installation sites for feasibility and design requirements.
  • Monitor subcontractors for conformance to specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Provide technical assistance to installers and technicians.
  • Estimate materials, equipment, and personnel needed for projects.
  • Identify ways to reduce costs, minimize risks, and increase efficiency.
  • Be accountable for the quality of work produced by installation teams.
  • Provide accurate installation forecasts and branch performance reporting.
  • Deliver an excellent customer experience and escalate concerns as necessary.
  • Assist in managing warehouse facilities as necessary.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in the solar industry or related field.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and computers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Organized and capable of making independent decisions.
  • Ability to read and interpret job orders and specifications.
