About the position

The Production Manager for Snow Management and Landscape Maintenance is responsible for overseeing field operations, managing crew leaders, and ensuring quality control and productivity in service delivery. This role involves planning, scheduling, and dispatching crews, as well as managing resources and maintaining safety and quality standards. The Production Manager reports to the Director of Operations and plays a critical role in the execution of production tasks and client communication.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule production activities in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
  • Source, pick up, and deliver materials to job sites or the Service Center.
  • Purchase supplies and materials according to company guidelines.
  • Print and deliver work tickets to Crew Leaders.
  • Close production tickets in Omnia-SDS and review job costing reports.
  • Supervise crews in the field, ensuring adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
  • Maintain fleet operations and report necessary repairs.
  • Complete essential paperwork and reports for management.
  • Communicate with clients regarding production updates and requests.
  • Conduct quality control audits and assist with estimating and proposals.
  • Recruit, train, and develop field workers and Crew Leaders.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in managing field operations and crew supervision.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in snow management or landscape maintenance.
  • Knowledge of safety training protocols.
  • Familiarity with project estimating and proposal preparation.
