The Production Manager (PM) for Snow Management and Landscape Maintenance at East Coast Facilities, Inc. plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of the service center. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the PM is responsible for managing a team of Crew Leaders and their respective crew members, ensuring that all production activities are executed efficiently and effectively. In some cases, a Senior PM may oversee additional crews, and the PM may also work alongside Field Supervisors to enhance operational efficiency. The PM's responsibilities encompass a wide range of critical components, including the management of field workers, fleet resources, and specific production tasks that may be recurring or project-based. Key responsibilities include planning, scheduling, dispatching, in-field training, supervision, quality control, productivity management, and direct cost management. The PM is expected to collaborate closely with the Operations Manager to schedule production on the team calendar, source and deliver materials to job sites, and manage purchasing according to company guidelines. The PM will also be responsible for closing production tickets in the Omnia-SDS system and reviewing job costing reports to ensure financial accountability. In addition to production responsibilities, the PM will engage in sales support activities, including performing quality control audits, assisting with estimating and takeoffs for proposals, and presenting these proposals to customers. The PM will also play a vital role in recruiting, training, and developing field workers, conducting interviews, and providing necessary training in technical and safety skills. The PM must maintain a professional image for the company by ensuring that all personnel uniforms, grooming, and job sites meet corporate standards. The role requires strong communication skills, as the PM will regularly interact with clients, providing updates on production efforts and addressing any requests. The PM must also adhere to safety and quality guidelines in the field, ensuring that all operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner. This position may require long working hours, especially during emergency responses or winter weather operations, and involves physical demands such as lifting and moving materials up to 60 pounds.
