About the position

The Production Manager for Snow Management and Landscape Maintenance is responsible for overseeing field operations, managing crew leaders, and ensuring the efficient execution of production tasks. This role involves planning, scheduling, and supervising field workers while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Production Manager will also handle client communications, assist in sales support, and contribute to the training and development of crew members.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule production activities in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
  • Source, pick up, and deliver materials to job sites or the Service Center.
  • Purchase supplies and materials according to company guidelines.
  • Print and deliver work tickets to assigned Crew Leaders.
  • Close production tickets in Omnia-SDS and review job costing reports.
  • Dispatch assigned crews and coordinate with other PMs or the Operations Manager for resource needs.
  • Supervise field crews, ensuring adherence to production budgets and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain fleet operations and report necessary repairs in a timely manner.
  • Complete essential paperwork and reports for management.
  • Communicate with clients regarding production updates and requests.
  • Conduct quality control audits and identify project opportunities for customers.
  • Assist with estimating and preparing proposals as requested by leadership.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in hiring field workers as directed.
  • Train Crew Leaders and Crew Members in technical and safety skills.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a management role within the landscape maintenance or snow management industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple crews and projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English.
  • Ability to perform quality control audits and prepare estimates and proposals.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Omnia-SDS or similar job costing software.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in landscape maintenance and snow management.
  • Previous experience in client-facing roles or sales support.
