About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing production processes, including Laser Operations, Material Sorting operations, and Deburring operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities and implementing continuous improvement strategies to achieve higher productivity and quality products. The Production Supervisor will manage production schedules, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the quality of our products. In this position, you will oversee daily production operations to meet quality, safety, and delivery standards. You will implement lean and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and reduce costs. Collaboration with production staff is essential to resolve issues, achieve quality, improve efficiency, and enhance overall performance and productivity. You will also conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to production staff, develop and implement process improvement plans, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is properly maintained and repaired to eliminate and reduce downtime. Managing production inventory and coordinating with logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of products will also be part of your responsibilities. You will work closely with engineering and R&D teams to implement new product designs and improve existing products and processes. The role requires managing Laser, Sort, and Deburr operations, ensuring high-quality products meet customer requirements, and developing and maintaining relationships with customers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage production schedules, including coordinating with supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to production staff.
  • Develop and implement process improvement plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is properly maintained and repaired to eliminate and reduce downtime.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in production management, including experience with process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and processes.
  • Experience with supply chain management and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in production management systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to process and train staff to produce products to meet quality standards.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and their application in a production environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred experience with Laser cutting operations and equipment as well as downstream processes of metal fabrication and manufacturing.
