About the position

The Production Manager (Value Stream Manager) is responsible for the overall operation of a value stream within Parker Hannifin, focusing on implementing the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy. This role emphasizes creating a safe work environment, maximizing profitable growth, driving quality improvements, and ensuring premier customer service. The manager will oversee day-to-day activities, manage team leaders and associates, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Parker Lean system and Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment and maximize profitable growth.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly expectations.
  • Develop and manage Team Leaders and associates, including performance assessments and employment decisions.
  • Manage all aspects of the Value Stream, including budget planning and cost analysis.
  • Lead operational leadership and successful Lean implementation resulting in productivity gains.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement and employee empowerment within the Value Stream.
  • Ensure effective cross-training for Value Stream Associates to maintain smooth operations.
  • Work with Division Staff to develop future state value stream maps and manage plans to achieve them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; Master's preferred.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience with increasing responsibility in leadership roles.
  • Previous P&L ownership experience preferred.
  • Experience in accounting, manufacturing, human resources management, and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills to meet organizational objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Involvement in LEAN process improvements/implementation preferred.
