About the position

Zip Kit Homes is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction / Production Manager to oversee operations at our Ogalala location. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our production processes align with our commitment to quality and efficiency in the construction of modern, pre-fab, and modular kit homes. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will lead a team of construction professionals, coordinating their efforts to maintain high standards of safety and quality. Your role will also involve implementing lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize production processes and reduce waste. The position requires a minimum of four years of experience in the construction trades, with a strong preference for candidates with backgrounds in framing, siding, and roofing. A college degree is preferred, but not mandatory. You will need to demonstrate excellent project management skills, organizational abilities, and a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Excel and Word is essential for managing project documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations at the Ogalala construction site.
  • Manage and coordinate the construction team to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to improve production efficiency.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and quality on the construction site.
  • Prepare and manage project documentation and reports using MS Excel and Word.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in the construction industry.
  • Project management experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word is necessary.
