Paraco Gas Corporation is seeking a Production Manager to join our team in Waterbury, CT. The Production Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the production processes at our Waterbury grill cylinder refurbishing plant, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining all scheduling functions within the plant, providing direction and leadership to your team, and ensuring effective employee relations. In this role, you will work closely with subordinate supervisors and Human Resources to address any plant-related issues, concerns, or problems that may arise. You will assess project requirements and collaborate with buyers to acquire necessary materials at the best value for the company. Additionally, you will provide weekly and monthly production estimates to senior management, ensuring that health and safety regulations are met and that industry compliance requirements are adhered to. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining and supporting all company goals related to safety, quality, production, and cost. You will also oversee the routine maintenance of production equipment and the training of both current and new employees. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager of Distribution and may require occasional overnight travel for industry trade shows or meetings, as well as regular travel to various plant locations. Responsibilities

• Coordinates and maintains all scheduling functions in the Plant
• Provides direction, development and leadership to all direct reports ensuring effective employee relations
• Coordinates with subordinate supervisors and Human Resources regarding Plant issues, concerns and problems as it relates to production, equipment or employees
• Assesses project requirements and works with buyer to acquire at best value for the company
• Provides weekly and monthly production estimates to senior management
• Ensures health and safety regulations are met along with industry compliance requirements
• Maintains and supports all Company Goals as it relates to Safety, Quality, Production and Cost
• Oversees production processes and activities
• Ensures that routine maintenance of production equipment is carried out
• Oversees training of current and new employees

Requirements

• Prior production experience or service background required
• Results and solutions driven
• Ability to communicate processes and results clearly and concisely to subordinates and senior management
• Highly motivated team player who contributes to an atmosphere of collaboration
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as production reports and maintenance proposals
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with outside vendors, fellow employees, and senior management
• Ability to formulate and write procedures
• Proficient in creating and maintaining spreadsheets using complex formulas
• Intermediate ability to use WORD and email programs
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
• Organized with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Energy Industry is not required but is a plus
• Ability to compute percentages and basic accounting principles
