About the position

The Production Manager will oversee the production and manufacturing processes for a forest product manufacturing company in Chester, SC. This role is crucial for ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with quality standards while managing resources effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage production and manufacturing processes in line with established specifications, quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost benchmarks.
• Create a safe working environment for employees that surpasses regulatory compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and advise the Plant Manager on necessary equipment and supplies to maintain an efficient manufacturing facility.
• Coordinate engineering efforts on new projects and existing equipment upgrades, and prepare supporting data for AFEs.
• Develop monthly safety meeting agendas and training materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 8+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
• 3+ years in forest production manufacturing (paper, pulp, wood, etc.).
