As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for directly supervising field staff and managing client jobs to ensure that the crews consistently perform high-quality work, meet client requirements, and fulfill them in a profitable and efficient manner while following company policies and procedures and maintaining all operations and safety standards. This is achieved through comprehensive knowledge of landscape maintenance, landscape equipment, and labor & quality control. The overall success of the branch depends upon your ability to clearly communicate, understand the scope of work, estimate and schedule, supervise crew performance, and control direct costs such as labor and materials. You will work closely with the Account Managers to assure client expectations are met, ensuring that all services are delivered according to contract specifications, on budget, according to schedule, and with a high standard of quality. Familiarity with the contracts and performance specifications for all jobs is essential to assure performance and profitability, by monitoring the work performed relative to these specifications which must be continually tracked to assure compliance. You will supervise daily crew activities of Leads and Crew Members, demonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrity while positively promoting company culture and safety. Coordination of work to ensure prompt completion and efficient scheduling will be part of your responsibilities, as well as assigning work to employees with proper training and required credentials only. You will also review and approve daily crew time in Aspire, carry out all activities in a professional, proactive manner, and work with the Shop Manager and Account Manager to assure proper equipment and material is ready for upcoming jobs. Monitoring and maintaining Labor Budgets along with other direct and indirect costs to ensure Income from Operations is met will be crucial to your role. You will develop and maintain crew routes, schedule work, and coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials in the most efficient manner, providing accurate and timely paperwork flow between field and office. Evaluating the performance of crew members and making recommendations regarding promotions, demotions, dismissals, wages, etc., will also be part of your duties. You will hold crew leaders accountable to budgets, quality standards, company goals, and values in completing all work, assist in training team members on correct labor methods and techniques, and promote a safe environment by assisting in safety training. Reporting accidents immediately to the Supervisor and keeping your phone on when having crews working or when required by weather conditions will be essential. You will also inform employees on procedures and policies and hold them accountable, leading by example and meeting regularly with Crew Leaders and Account Managers.
