About the position

At American National Insulation, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our production department. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to our mission of providing energy-efficient insulation and building material products. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the production department, which includes visiting work sites, directing and coordinating production schedules, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will also play a crucial role in soliciting new business opportunities while maintaining existing client relationships. In this position, you will support the Branch Manager in improving performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. You will manage a team of installers, monitoring their processes and procedures to ensure that job activities are performed to the highest standards. Additionally, you will handle all aspects of human resources within the department, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, performance management, and development of team members. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a positive work environment that encourages growth and accountability. This role requires a proactive approach to business development, as you will be tasked with soliciting new business at required margin levels while ensuring that existing business is maintained. You will also be expected to perform any other duties, tasks, or responsibilities as assigned by management, making flexibility and adaptability key traits for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the production department.
  • Visit work sites to direct and coordinate production schedules.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and solicit new business.
  • Support the Branch Manager in improving performance and profitability.
  • Manage a team and monitor job activities performed by installers.
  • Handle human resources functions including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license if operating a company vehicle.
  • 4+ years of increasing responsibility and managerial experience, preferably in construction/installation/trades.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
