About the position

The Production Manager at King's Hawaiian is responsible for leading all activities associated with their production line(s), ensuring safe, quality, and cost-effective production in alignment with the company's standards and values. This role involves developing and motivating a high-performing team, acting as a safety champion, and meeting business demands through effective scheduling and performance management. The successful candidate will embody the company's values and foster a culture of trust and accountability within their team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a high-performing operations team from front-line to Supervisor level through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and providing fair accountability.
• Act as a Safety champion, ensuring a safety-first culture with policies and procedures to protect employee safety.
• Schedule production runs to meet business demand while upholding quality standards.
• Own all metrics related to production lines, including safety, quality, productivity, and budget.
• Create and execute strategies to improve performance across all major metrics.
• Meet regularly with direct reports to provide developmental feedback and coaching.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including Safety, EEO, and Quality.
• Cultivate trust and buy-in from the team by demonstrating ownership and urgency in business operations.
• Perform other duties as required within the scope of the role.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum 5 years of experience directly leading salaried and/or hourly team members.
• Proficiency with all MS Office Applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Nice-to-haves

• Engineering or Operations Management focus.
• Working knowledge of Autonomous Maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance.
• Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA.
• Proficient with RedZone Productivity Suite.
• Proficient with Excel and/or Tableau for dashboard building.
