About the position

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, including mixing, baking, and packing of products. This role aims to implement the direction and goals set by the Plant Manager to foster a culture of continuous improvement in yield, efficiency, quality, cleanliness, and safety within the production facility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of production including mixing, baking, and packing of products.
• Implement and enforce policies and procedures consistent with the Plant Manager's direction.
• Control and improve production yield and efficiency against standards.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Promote cleanliness and food safety in the production area.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Encourage employee ownership and understanding of product and process.
• Foster overall team building and employee welfare.
• Perform daily analysis and provide corrective action recommendations for manufacturing performance, operating budget, safety, quality, cleanliness, and yield & efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field or at least seven years of prior experience in managing large departments for consumer product manufacturers.
• Five years or more experience managing supervisors on more than one shift.
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot 3-phase AC motors and drives.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and machine drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and delegate several projects at one time.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines on short notice.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors.
• Experience in quality system audits.
