About the position

STAQ Pharma is seeking a Production Manager for their facility in Columbus, OH. This role is crucial for overseeing the production of sterile injectable medications while ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and maintaining high-quality standards. The Production Manager will lead a team, manage production processes, and foster a positive work environment, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise one or more of the Production areas, including formulation, filling, and inspection/labeling.
  • Oversee implementation and compliance with STAQ Quality Systems, including SOPs and continuous quality improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA guidelines.
  • Supervise employees responsible for formulation, aseptic filling, inspection and labeling, or facility sanitization.
  • Coordinate and provide training to employees in production processes.
  • Provide strong leadership to maintain a positive work environment through effective communication and performance management.
  • Analyze production efficiencies, downtime, and waste, leading teams to improve results.
  • Write or assist with writing non-conformances and work with Quality to resolve variances promptly.
  • Support technical teams in their activities and assist in managing staffing levels and budget spending.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of general work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in supervising a cGMP FDA regulated manufacturing environment; 2 or more years in aseptic processing preferred.
  • Knowledge of cGMP guidelines/standards.
  • Experience with ISO Standards.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, motivational, analytical problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with dynamic priorities and demands.

  • Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated effective interaction skills and a measurable track record of influence at all levels of an organization.
