About the position

The Production Manager at Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) is responsible for overseeing the safety, quality, delivery, and productivity of a high-speed, high-volume manufacturing department. This role involves organizing and directing manufacturing activities across shifts, providing leadership to Production Supervisors and teams, and ensuring operational goals are met in collaboration with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, and Warehousing.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a proactive safety culture of zero incidents and ensure completion of safety trainings and programs.
  • Direct departmental activities to ensure timely execution of the production schedule to meet production and service goals.
  • Manage departmental quality requirements to ensure food safety and product quality.
  • Create a basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring standardized work and processes are followed.
  • Develop a plan to progress the TPM program based on the KDP playbook.
  • Determine optimum staffing model for line operations.
  • Provide effective cross-training and development for a flexible workforce.
  • Promote team engagement and morale adhering to KDP values.
  • Generate enthusiasm, commitment, and performance from others to develop high-performance teams.
  • Lead and support Focused Improvement events to ensure expected OEE is met/exceeded.
  • Communicate goals and objectives, apply company policy, coach, administer discipline, and ensure positive employee relations.
  • Build bench strength through active development of direct reports.
  • Foster a culture of trust and wellbeing that prioritizes the team and values employee contributions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing management role, preferably in a high-speed, high-volume environment.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and production processes in manufacturing.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing, and 5S methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) programs.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality standards.
