As a Production Manager at Niagara, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Production Department, ensuring that the plant meets established safety, quality, and production goals in compliance with all applicable legal and food safety requirements. This role is pivotal in managing and directing the activities of the production department, ensuring that all products adhere to Niagara's high standards of safety, quality, and throughput. You will collaborate closely with the planning department to create production schedules that meet both internal and external needs, establishing and adjusting work procedures and schedules as necessary to meet production plans. In this position, you will maintain effective working relationships with team members through open communication, visibility, and involvement, promoting a positive working environment that maximizes safety, employee engagement, productivity, and throughput. You will provide direction to supervisors on team member coaching and development, employment decisions, and conflict resolution. This includes hiring, training, coaching, and reviewing the performance of team members, as well as partnering with Human Resources for recruitment, corrective actions, and terminations. You will also collaborate with Maintenance Department leadership to plan preventative maintenance on production lines and analyze and submit reports for production numbers, downtime, attendance, overtime, and quality checks to the Plant Director. Additionally, you will work with the Plant Director and Planning Department to develop the Production Department budget and forecast, and recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality. Your role will involve interfacing with multiple departments within the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met and championing a world-class safety culture throughout the plant. Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this role, and you will be expected to adhere to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations, as well as Niagara's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Safety Standards at all times.
