About the position

The Production Manager is responsible for coordinating suppliers to produce client designs, managing supplier production, and overseeing the assembly and packing of articles to meet quality and time requirements. This role requires strong technical skills, organization, attention to detail, and effective communication, as the Production Manager will work closely with various teams including CAD engineers, account managers, and logistics teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of production with vendors, ensuring delivery timetables and maintaining project status.
  • Brief design and engineering teams and verify mechanical drawing details.
  • Prepare quotations and indicate appropriate vendors for production.
  • Plan and track supplier production and set priorities accordingly.
  • Develop and sustain excellent relationships with all suppliers, acting as a liaison for cross production checks.
  • Provide ongoing training and operational supervision to production executives.
  • Manage the development process from design to final presentation.
  • Ensure quality and final check of technical documentation and compliance with standards.
  • Document all production-related information using the ERP system.
  • Act as the key contact for internal teams and suppliers regarding project status.
  • Ensure quality and on-time delivery of production articles in collaboration with the QC department.
  • Plan inspections at supplier facilities and on incoming components to the warehouse.
  • Manage financial control of purchase orders to ensure costs align with expectations.
  • Handle claims for damaged or missing components.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in production, ideally in retail fixture fabrication or a related industry.
  • Technical education in furniture, mechanical, civil engineering, or architecture is a plus.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings.
  • Advanced knowledge of materials and production technologies in joinery, metal works, plastics, printing, and glass works.
  • Supplier relationship management skills to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Project management skills with organizational and planning abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for personal and written interaction with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ability to multi-task without losing focus and control.
  • High level of attention to detail and a drive for self-improvement.
  • Advanced level of MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and 3D design software such as Inventor or SOLIDWORKS.
  • Advanced English proficiency for daily communication, with knowledge of technical English preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of another language is an advantage.
  • Active driver's license (B).
