About the position

As a Production Manager at Bimbo Bakeries USA, you will play a crucial role in leading the Production department, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for coaching and developing front-line Supervisors, fostering a culture of safety, inclusion, engagement, and accountability within the team. Your leadership will be pivotal in maintaining high standards of production, as you will be accountable for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as safety, quality, line efficiency, waste, and downtime. You will track and report on production data to evaluate performance against these KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the department. In this role, you will implement LEAN tools and 5S practices in accordance with our Manufacturing Transformation guidelines. Your ability to analyze production data and identify areas for improvement will be essential in enhancing operational efficiency and product quality. You will also be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that communication flows effectively across departments to meet production goals and maintain a high level of product quality. Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the Production department through coaching and development of front-line Supervisors.
  • Drive a culture of safety, inclusion, engagement, and accountability within the team.
  • Accountable for production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including safety, quality, line efficiency, waste, and downtime.
  • Track and report on production data to evaluate performance against KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement by ensuring that LEAN tools and 5S are practiced in adherence to Manufacturing Transformation guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with a consumer baked goods company.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on associate development and accountability.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working within cross-functional teams.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office products and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience with 5S and LEAN tools highly preferred.
