About the position

Join a leader in manufacturing control panels, as our Production Manager. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing process, ensuring operational efficiency, superior quality, and strict adherence to lean manufacturing principles. You will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence, achieving on-time delivery targets, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure a seamless workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to minimize waste and enhance productivity.
  • Establish and maintain quality processes and standards, leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action Requests (CAR) to resolve quality issues.
  • Manage and motivate a production team of 6-10 employees, providing coaching and training to enhance skills and performance.
  • Promote a safe working environment by adhering to all safety processes and procedures.
  • Oversee lineside inventory and assist in process improvements.
  • Work closely with the supply chain team to streamline manufacturing processes and ensure timely builds.
  • Keep the sales team informed of any delays or issues promptly, and collaborate on forecasting schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer focus throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role with a strong background in lean manufacturing and 5S methodology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma training is a plus.
