About the position

The Production Manager at Donaldson is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing functions across all shifts, ensuring efficient production flow, troubleshooting issues, managing staffing, and providing technical training to employees. This role is pivotal in maintaining safety and quality standards while driving operational excellence and compliance within the plant.

Responsibilities

• Develops and analyzes production and operating reports to resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems.
• Coaches and collaborates with supervisors on employee relations, problem-solving, and achieving manufacturing goals.
• Works closely with plant management to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Develops training programs and ensures all employees are trained in compliance with operational standards.
• Assists employees and supervisors in resolving work-related problems and evaluates issues for effective remediation.
• Revises standard operational practices and monitors employee compliance.
• Develops and monitors the plant's operational budget.
• Drives the implementation of the plant lead roadmap.

Requirements

• Some college education is required.
• 3 years of leadership or management experience is required.
• 5 years of experience in manufacturing is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in union relations is preferred.
• Experience leading Lean events is preferred.
• Familiarity with Oracle or other ERP systems is preferred.
