About the position

The Production Manager at Techmer PM, LLC is responsible for overseeing the polymer compounding process and managing a team of supervisors and process technicians. This role emphasizes employee safety, continuous improvement, and maintaining high production, performance, and quality standards. The Production Manager will collaborate with various departments to ensure customer commitments are met while fostering a strong safety culture and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage the polymer compounding process with a team of three supervisors.
• Ensure employee safety and develop a world-class safety culture in collaboration with EHS staff.
• Oversee daily production activities to meet customer commitments.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
• Conduct Gemba walks and job hazard analysis to strengthen safety culture.
• Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions using Root Cause Analysis.
• Deliver effective change leadership to support business changes.
• Maintain knowledge of best practices in manufacturing methods and technology developments.
• Collaborate with counterparts at other sites to share best practices and increase OEE.
• Identify training opportunities to enhance staff skills and operational flexibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing or engineering management experience.
• Skilled in data analysis using Power BI, Excel, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• High degree of organizational and time management skills.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills.
