About the position

The Production Manager at PTI Quality Containment Solutions is responsible for overseeing plant operations, ensuring production objectives are met efficiently and effectively. This role involves coordinating activities with departmental managers, implementing cost control systems, and providing leadership and training to staff. The manager will also ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, including ISO/IATF procedures, while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage plant operations for production.
• Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Implement cost-effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.
• Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production standards.
• Control and minimize labor expenses.
• Provide leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives.
• Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among personnel.
• Provide direction, development, and leadership to production supervisors.
• Ensure customer requirements are being met.
• Responsible for 5S in the work area.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or five years of plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5 years of experience in automotive production.
• 1 year of experience with ISO 9001 (preferred).
• General computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within given parameters.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in process improvement programs and procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude.
