About the position

The Production Manager at Aerotek is responsible for overseeing the cold press area, managing a team of 75 employees. This role involves ensuring production targets are met, maintaining safety protocols, and fostering employee development through training and performance measurement. The manager will also lead daily production meetings and collaborate with various departments to troubleshoot issues and implement continuous improvement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage 75 employees in the cold press area.
• Assist in the development of work instructions and training on processes.
• Supervise daily operations and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Review stamping schedules daily and ensure adherence by supervisors.
• Troubleshoot issues across departments and maintain communication with support staff.
• Monitor and report daily production activities, driving for press targets.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies based on production results.
• Identify and develop strategies to attain production targets.
• Lead daily production meetings to communicate goals and performance feedback.
• Evaluate employee performance and implement development strategies.

Requirements

• Experience in production management and supervision.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to develop work instructions and training materials.
• Excellent communication skills for leading meetings and collaborating with departments.
• Experience with ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standards.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with Layered Process Audits and internal audits.
