About the position

The Production Manager at Butte Fence is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of fencing projects in Meridian, ID. This role involves managing shop supervision, ensuring safety protocols, reviewing job specifications, maintaining shop organization, and providing training to shop personnel. The Production Manager plays a crucial role in leading the team, improving processes, and ensuring the efficient operation of the production facility.

Responsibilities

• Manage and hold accountable the shop supervisors and welding manager.
• Create training programs for the shop supervisors.
• Provide performance expectations and conduct one-on-one meetings with shop supervisors and welders.
• Manage safety protocols and training for shop personnel.
• Evaluate final counts from installers and update sales orders accordingly.
• Review sales orders for material shortages and fab sheets for errors.
• Organize and maintain the cap shed and shop area for productivity.
• Develop processes and procedures for shop maintenance and organization.
• Conduct training sessions for shop personnel on related tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience (preferred).
• 3+ years of transferable experience, including management roles.
• Proven ability to effectively lead a team.
• Flexibility conducive to a fast-paced, growing environment.
