About the position

Quantic M-Wave is seeking a Production Manager to support the production department's activities in designing, documenting, analyzing, manufacturing, and testing electronic components, products, and systems. The role involves evaluating new and existing products for ease of manufacture and coordinating the material flow of parts through the organization. The Production Manager will contribute to the design process on new projects, review existing designs, and provide input on improvements. This position requires interfacing with vendors to determine the most cost-effective approaches for materials and supervising the organization and control of materials retained in M-Wave's stockroom. The Production Manager will also inform management when component materials and delivery schedules do not align and independently resolve production, inventory planning, and forecasting issues. In addition to these responsibilities, the Production Manager will develop, document, and test new and existing products, creating test procedures as necessary. Collaboration with materials, manufacturing, and purchasing departments is essential to identify and resolve production planning problems. The role also includes recording and managing electronic data files, documenting processes, and completing necessary paperwork. Maintaining training on critical processes and procedures is a key aspect of this position, ensuring that the production team is well-equipped to meet the demands of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the design process on new projects.
  • Reviews existing designs and provides input on improvement.

Requirements

  • Basic familiarity with passive Microwave test procedures, concepts, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of RF matching networks, passive microwave components, and waveguide theory.
  • BS or MS degree in engineering or hard science (Physics, Math, etc.) or 5+ years of related experience and/or training.
  • Five to fifteen years' experience in a related field.
  • Ability to read and have basic interpretation of blueprints (detail part drawings).
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret, create, and communicate technical procedures; competent at RF/Microwave network analysis measurements.
  • Ability to create & modify drawings (ACAD/Solidworks).
  • Ability to plan, organize, and schedule test and manpower based on product types.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors and customers.
  • Ability to work with hands (dexterity) for assembly & test troubleshooting.
  • Basic computer literacy (Excel spreadsheets, Word Documents).
  • Team player with a positive attitude and flexibility.
