About the position

Zip Kit Homes is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction / Production Manager to oversee operations at our Ogalala location. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our modern, pre-fab, and modular kit homes. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will lead a team of construction professionals, coordinating their efforts to achieve production goals while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Your expertise in project management and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles will be essential in optimizing our production processes and improving efficiency. The position requires a minimum of four years of experience in the construction trades, with a strong preference for candidates with backgrounds in framing, siding, and roofing. A college degree is preferred, but not mandatory. You will need to demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as proficiency in MS Excel and Word. This role operates on a four-day work week, with 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, allowing for a three-day weekend every week. The pay range for this position is between $60,000 and $80,000 per year, with additional quarterly production bonuses based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations at the Ogalala construction site.
• Manage and coordinate the construction team to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes.
• Maintain high standards of safety and quality on the job site.
• Prepare and manage project schedules and budgets.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations.
• Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years experience in the construction industry.
• Project management experience is essential.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
• A college degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in framing, siding, and roofing is preferred.
• Familiarity with modern construction techniques and materials.
