About the position

The Production Manager at Mid-Ohio Valley Employment (MOVE) is responsible for overseeing all processes related to a specific product line. This role serves as the primary contact for any inquiries or issues concerning production, assembly, and equipment functionality. The manager will focus on controlling documentation necessary for product assembly, including revising work instructions and creating new documentation as part of the New Product Development (NPD) process.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operations are performed in a safe and responsible manner striving to create an injury-free and incident-free workplace.
• Assist the production and quality teams in gathering information to accurately identify the root cause of problems in equipment or work processes.
• Troubleshoot operational and production problems in order to implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the design, function, and assembly of a designated product line.
• Work directly with assemblers and production supervisors to ensure proper training, tools, and equipment are in place to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Analyze and improve current processes to reduce waste and increase throughput via Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Engineering Change Request (ECR) systems.
• Set and maintain standard build time to accurately forecast product lead times.

Requirements

• Degree in a related Engineering field or equivalent education and experience.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn Caron's ERP and CRM software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating effectiveness across department boundaries and with all levels of management.
• Well organized with focused attention to detail.
• Strong desire for continued growth and learning.
