About the position

Zip Kit Homes is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction / Production Manager to oversee operations at our Ogalala location. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our production processes run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our modern, pre-fab, and modular kit homes. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the construction process, from planning and scheduling to execution and quality control. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Your leadership will be essential in fostering a collaborative and productive work environment, where safety and efficiency are prioritized. Additionally, your knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles will be invaluable in optimizing our production processes and driving continuous improvement. This position offers a unique schedule of four 10-hour days, allowing for a three-day weekend every week. The pay range for this role is competitive, with a salary between $60,000 and $80,000 per year, along with additional quarterly production bonuses based on performance. We are committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace, and all employees will be required to undergo drug testing as part of the hiring process and throughout their employment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the construction process at the Ogalala location.
  • Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a drug-free workplace.
  • Collaborate with various teams to foster a productive work environment.
  • Monitor quality control throughout the construction process.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to construction teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in construction trades.
  • Project management experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.
  • A college degree is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in framing, siding, and roofing is preferred.
