About the position

Zip Kit Homes is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction / Production Manager to oversee operations at our Ogalala location. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our production processes align with our commitment to quality and efficiency in the construction of modern, pre-fab, and modular kit homes. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will lead a team of construction professionals, coordinating activities and resources to achieve production goals. Your expertise in project management and knowledge of construction trades will be essential in maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The position requires a minimum of four years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong preference for candidates with backgrounds in framing, siding, and roofing. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies will be advantageous, as we strive to optimize our production processes. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Excel and Word. This role offers a unique schedule of four 10-hour days, allowing for a three-day weekend every week, which promotes a healthy work-life balance. Additionally, the pay range for this position is competitive, with opportunities for quarterly production bonuses based on performance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations at the Ogalala construction site.
  • Manage and coordinate construction projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Lead and supervise a team of construction professionals.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in the construction industry.
  • Project management experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word.
  • A college degree is preferred.
