About the position

The Production Manager will oversee the entire plastic injection molding operation at the Berlin, CT location, managing personnel and over 30 machines. This role involves hands-on involvement in daily manufacturing activities, ensuring efficient execution of production schedules, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The Production Manager will also be responsible for managing P&L, achieving production ratios, and continuously improving production methods and equipment performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire 24/5 plastic injection molding operation including personnel and 30+ machines.
• Engage in daily manufacturing activities such as troubleshooting, processing, and reading cycle times and changeover times.
• Ensure efficient execution of production schedules to maintain on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Manage P&L and achieve production ratios and KPIs each month, actively identifying areas for improvement.
• Continuously improve and ensure best safety practices, production methods, equipment performance, and quality.

Requirements

• Five plus (5+) years of experience as a Supervisor/Manager in custom injection molding, with experience in processing.
• Experience managing multiple shifts and running thirty plus (30+) machines.
• Successful history of meeting budgets and goals (OTD, quality, efficiency).
• Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to evaluate and make recommendations for improvements.
• Experience in scientific molding/custom injection molding is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership acumen.

• Experience in plastics injection molding for 3 years (Preferred)
