About the position

The Production Manager will lead a skilled team in overseeing the plate production operations at a Grand Rapids-based printing, graphics, and packaging company. This role focuses on driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the manufacturing process, making it ideal for a confident and detail-oriented individual ready to learn and provide strong leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the plate manufacturing process, ensuring products are produced efficiently and meet quality standards
• Manage a team, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback
• Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and quality
• Lead technical support for internal sales and external customer inquiries
• Coordinate maintenance and upgrades for software and equipment used in production
• Uphold high standards of quality, identifying nonconforming products and proposing solutions for quality improvements
• Make recommendations for equipment upgrades and new purchases to support production scaling
• Schedule and manage production timelines effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience in printing, graphics, packaging, sign-making, or advertising preferred
• Proven management experience with a focus on leading teams and ensuring production goals are met
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail.
