About the position

STAQ Pharma is seeking a Production Manager for its Columbus, OH facility. This role is pivotal in overseeing the production areas, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards in the manufacturing of sterile injectable medications. The Production Manager will lead a team, manage production efficiencies, and foster a positive work environment while adhering to cGMP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise one or more of the Production areas, including formulation, filling, and inspection/labeling.
• Oversee implementation and compliance with STAQ Quality Systems, including SOPs and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with FDA guidelines and regulations.
• Supervise employees responsible for formulation, aseptic filling, inspection, labeling, and facility sanitization.
• Coordinate and provide training to employees in production processes.
• Provide strong leadership to maintain a positive work environment through effective communication and performance management.
• Analyze production efficiencies, downtime, and waste to improve results and output.
• Assist with writing non-conformances and work with Quality to resolve variances promptly.
• Support technical teams in their activities and assist in managing staffing levels and budget spending.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of general work experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in supervising a cGMP FDA regulated manufacturing environment; 2 or more years in aseptic processing preferred.
• Knowledge of cGMP guidelines/standards and experience with ISO Standards.
• Demonstrated effective interaction skills and a measurable track record of influence at all organizational levels.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, motivational, analytical problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with dynamic priorities and demands.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
