About the position

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, directing, and coordination of manufacturing activities to ensure products are produced efficiently and meet safety, quality, cost, and quantity specifications. This role involves training personnel, mentoring supervisors, and maintaining a positive work environment while ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate work activities and resources for manufacturing products.
  • Train and mentor production personnel to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Communicate expectations, assignments, and responsibilities clearly to team members.
  • Maintain regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports to discuss performance and resolve issues.
  • Ensure adherence to safety procedures and regulations, including OSHA compliance.
  • Interview, hire, and train new employees, providing coaching and performance reviews.
  • Prepare work schedules and expedite workflow to meet production goals.
  • Review production orders to make decisions on inventory and staffing requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to communicate safety, quality, and productivity levels.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • 4+ years of progressive leadership experience from supervisory to management roles.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite and efficient with computer/software applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Associate's degree or higher preferred, but experience will be considered.
