About the position

The Production Manager (PM) at Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is responsible for overseeing production lines in a state-of-the-art Li-ion battery factory. This role focuses on ensuring production targets are met, implementing manufacturing strategies, and driving continuous improvement in production efficiency. The PM collaborates with stakeholders, mentors staff, and strives to maximize production levels while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production lines and ensure targets are met.
• Implement manufacturing strategy and drive continuous improvement in production efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and align leadership with core principles.
• Mentor staff for excellence and maximize production levels.
• Manage functional production teams to meet manufacturing KPIs.
• Empower and develop individuals and teams for performance and growth.
• Coordinate with internal cross-functional teams to fulfill customer and company goals.
• Attend management meetings and provide detailed input on production status.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Production Manager in a high volume automation manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work any shift as needed.
• Experience managing 100+ employees in a high volume setting.
• Solid previous job history in a similar role with proven leadership ability.
• Data-driven with the ability to interpret and drive business needs.
• Foundational knowledge of machine controls and instrumentation.
• Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations including Lean Six Sigma and ERP experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Science (MS).
• Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
