The Production Manager is responsible for directly supervising field staff and managing client jobs to ensure that crews consistently perform high-quality work, meet client requirements, and fulfill them profitably and efficiently while adhering to company policies and procedures. This role is crucial in maintaining all operations and safety standards. The Production Manager must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of landscape maintenance, equipment, labor, and quality control. The overall success of the branch depends on the Production Manager's ability to communicate effectively, understand the scope of work, estimate and schedule tasks, supervise crew performance, and control direct costs such as labor and materials. In this position, the Production Manager will work closely with Account Managers and the Branch Manager to meet client expectations. They will collaborate with the team to deliver all services according to contract specifications, on budget and schedule, and with a high-quality standard. Familiarity with all job contracts and performance specifications is essential to assure performance and profitability. The Production Manager will supervise daily crew activities, demonstrating role model behaviors in ethics and integrity while positively promoting company culture and safety. The role involves coordinating work to ensure prompt completion, ensuring efficient scheduling based on work priorities, crew or equipment availability, or weather conditions. The Production Manager will assign work to employees with proper training and required credentials only, schedule new and existing work in Aspire to reflect the most efficient routing for each crew, and review and approve daily crew time in Aspire. They will carry out all activities in a professional, proactive manner to create long-term client relationships, develop and maintain crew routes, and coordinate workforce, equipment, and materials efficiently. Additionally, the Production Manager will provide accurate and timely paperwork flow between field and office, evaluate crew performance, and make recommendations regarding promotions, demotions, dismissals, and wages. They will hold crew leaders accountable for quality standards, assist in training team members in correct labor methods and techniques, and promote a safe environment by reporting accidents immediately to the Supervisor. The Production Manager is expected to keep their phone on when crews are working or when required by weather conditions, inform employees of procedures and policies, and lead by example. Daily meetings with Crew Leaders and Account Managers are also part of the responsibilities.
