About the position

The Production Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the production operations within our baking facility. This position is essential for ensuring that our production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The Production Manager will be responsible for managing three shift lead supervisors, each overseeing a team of eight employees. This role requires a strong focus on maintaining safety standards, quality control, and adherence to budgetary constraints. The Production Manager will also be tasked with enforcing safety rules and ensuring compliance with labor regulations, which is vital in a fast-paced production environment. In addition to managing the workforce, the Production Manager will oversee inventory management and scheduling to ensure that production targets are met. This includes developing policies aimed at improving efficiency and guiding team members to achieve optimal performance. The role will also involve coordination with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to maintain product standards and manage training programs to support employee development. Furthermore, the Production Manager will handle waste water management, ensuring that all processes comply with environmental regulations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in production leadership within the food and beverage industry, particularly in baking. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives and meeting key performance indicators (KPIs). With a focus on lean manufacturing principles, the Production Manager will be instrumental in driving operational excellence within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 3 shift lead supervisors with 8 employees under each shift supervisor.
• Efficiently manage production, ensuring safety, quality, and budget adherence.
• Enforce safety rules and ensure adherence to labor regulations.
• Oversee inventory and scheduling.
• Develop policies for efficiency and guide team members for optimal performance.
• Coordinate with QA to maintain product standards.
• Manage training and support employees.
• Handle waste water management.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production leadership experience within the food and beverage industry.
• Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Strong track record of making Continuous Improvement changes.
• Excellent track record of meeting and exceeding KPIs.
• Familiarity with 5S methodologies, Root Cause Analysis, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing.
