About the position

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Production Manager. This is a full-time role based at our Hanover, MD plant. The Production Manager will develop, plan, and implement manufacturing activities for all product lines to achieve Satellite facility goals. This position functions as a front-line leader for Satellite production employees, focusing on achieving High 5 Metrics, which include Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, and Inventory, through the continuous improvement framework (CIF). The role emphasizes fostering a zero-incident safety culture by deploying environment, health, and safety (MESH) initiatives and promoting safety-focused leadership. In this capacity, the Production Manager will direct resources to prioritize and execute the manufacturing schedule to meet all customer, manufacturing, and financial requirements. Additionally, the Production Manager will act as a commercial point of contact in assigned Satellite territories, which includes responsibilities such as pricing and quoting, customer service, promotional activities, and field sales contact, as well as systems and engineering support as needed. The role also involves promoting a high-performance work culture through effective operations management processes and positive employee relations, while facilitating problem-solving and corrective action for production and quality issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and implement manufacturing activities for all product lines.
  • Function as a front-line leader for Satellite production employees.
  • Achieve High 5 Metrics (Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, and Inventory) via the continuous improvement framework (CIF).
  • Foster a zero-incident safety culture through deployment of environment, health and safety (MESH) initiatives.
  • Direct resources to prioritize and execute the manufacturing schedule to meet customer, manufacturing, and financial requirements.
  • Act as a commercial point of contact in assigned Satellite territories, including pricing/quoting and customer service.
  • Promote a high-performance work culture through effective operations management processes and positive employee relations.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and corrective action for production and quality issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in either field sales, engineering, or manufacturing.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 1 year of prior supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience in an industrial environment.
  • Prior experience in the electrical industry.
  • Working knowledge of the panelboard/switchboard industry.
