About the position

The Gund Company is seeking a Production Manager for its Cedar Lake, IN manufacturing plant. This role is crucial for overseeing the Order Fulfillment Process, managing production operations, and leading a team of up to 15 direct reports. The Production Manager will ensure efficient manufacturing processes while maintaining high-quality standards and fostering a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Order Fulfillment Process from quoting through shipping and invoicing.
• Manage assembly operations, machining operations, processing, treating, packaging, and shipping.
• Develop and performance manage plant personnel within the assigned value stream.
• Direct and coordinate all production operations through team leads, production, and customer service personnel.
• Lead and influence teams effectively, ensuring clear communication and direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Four years of experience in management or a similar combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of Quality Concepts (i.e., SPC, TQM, JIT) and Quality Systems (i.e., ISO 9000, Six Sigma, Zero Defects) is preferred.
