About the position

The Production Manager at Swan Products, LLC is responsible for leading production supervisory teams to ensure safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and customer satisfaction. This role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and continuous improvement while employing lean manufacturing methodologies to optimize production processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead production supervisory teams to maintain safety, quality, productivity, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
• Educate and direct personnel on the use of control points, equipment, and resources to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Communicate job expectations and monitor job results; coach and discipline employees as necessary.
• Set individual goals and conduct formal performance reviews for team members.
• Monitor workflow and implement cost reductions while fostering cooperation between departments.
• Coordinate warehouse and distribution activities with customer service and supply chain teams.
• Schedule and assign personnel to meet production goals and resolve any issues that arise.
• Implement best practices for product and manufacturing specifications and establish key performance indicators.
• Train employees on safety, quality, and job-related functions.
• Ensure proper maintenance of tooling and equipment, and oversee preventative maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience of 5-10 years.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong statistical and mathematical skills.
• Detail-oriented with well-developed organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Windows-based programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to operate office-related equipment (copier, fax, etc.).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous extrusion experience.
• Experience with ISO 9000 requirements.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
