About the position

Come Join the SIXT Boston Airport Team. The Production Manager position at SIXT RENTAL CAR offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional in the automotive industry. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the vehicle distribution and turnaround processes at the airport branch. This role requires close collaboration with the General Manager to ensure that vehicles are safe, clean, and available in a timely manner to meet customer demands and drive rental growth. You will also manage the work environment and vendor relationships, focusing on driving efficiencies and reducing costs. In this position, you will analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and expenses to identify and implement processes and procedures that improve efficiency and reduce costs. You will develop and manage efficient turnaround processes, build and establish relationships with Branch Managers, staff, service providers, and vendors. Communication is key, as you will need to establish and communicate daily vehicle needs to vendors regarding vehicle turnaround and movements. Additionally, you will create weekly forecasts for subcontractor needs to support cleaning and vehicle movement processes. Quality control is a significant aspect of this role, as you will perform vehicle inspections to review subcontractor performance and ensure that the cleaning and servicing of vehicles at the QTA are conducted smoothly. You will maintain constant communication with the Branch management team to understand logistics and support Fleet Planners in meeting vehicle reservation demands. This role also involves quickly investigating and resolving operational and customer problems as they arise, conducting daily game plan meetings with subcontractor managers, and coordinating the movement of vehicles to and from overflow lots. You will manage driver activity to optimize lot space and traffic flow, acting as the point of contact for the driver team and for managers needing specific upgrade vehicles for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the vehicle distribution and turnaround processes at the airport branch.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure vehicle safety, cleanliness, and availability.

Requirements

  • Experience in the car rental industry preferred.
  • Process-oriented with a proven record of success in managing large-scale operational teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with multiple languages preferred.
  • Expertise in issue resolution and efficient handling of complaints.
