About the position

The Production Manager position is a critical role within a rapidly growing privately held housewares manufacturing company that has been operational since 2018. The company operates a state-of-the-art plant, warehouse, and shipping facility that runs three shifts, 24 hours a day, five days a week. As the company continues to expand, they are seeking a top-grade Production/Operations Manager who can effectively scale operations to meet increasing demand. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in production and operations management, particularly within high-speed injection molding environments. This role requires a leader who can innovate and implement best practices in manufacturing, ensuring that production processes are efficient and meet quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, from raw materials to finished goods, ensuring that all operations align with ISO or equivalent quality standards. This includes managing automated and robotic equipment, optimizing production processes, and implementing lean manufacturing principles. The Production Manager will also be tasked with developing strategies for continuous improvement and maintaining process discipline across all operations. A deep understanding of production costs, quality control measures, and effective distribution techniques is essential for maximizing the company's manufacturing capabilities. Additionally, proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Dassault systems, is required to streamline operations and enhance productivity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire production process in a high-speed injection molding operation.
• Implement and manage ISO or equivalent quality standards across all production activities.
• Lead and innovate manufacturing processes, including the use of automated and robotic equipment.
• Develop and execute strategies for continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices.
• Manage production costs and optimize the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Utilize ERP systems to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Operations or Business Management.
• Six (6+) years of experience in a Production or Operations Management role in a high-speed injection molding environment.
• Demonstrated success as a manufacturing leader with innovative approaches.
• Proven experience managing to ISO or equivalent quality standards.
• Well-rounded operations management experience with a deep understanding of operations tactics and process discipline.
• Knowledge of production processes, raw materials, quality control, and cost management.
• Proficient in ERP systems, preferably Dassault systems.
