International Aerospace Coatings (IAC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager for its Fort Worth, TX location. The Production Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the production processes within the hangar, ensuring that all operations align with the company's environmental, health, and safety policies. This position requires a proactive approach to managing production schedules, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and project management. The Production Manager will be responsible for supervising a team of employees, conducting interviews, hiring, training, and developing staff. This role involves planning, assigning, and directing work, monitoring performance, and addressing any complaints or issues that arise. Daily responsibilities include conducting start-of-shift meetings with team leaders, assigning daily targets, and ensuring that production processes are followed meticulously. The manager will also coordinate with quality inspection and environmental health leaders to uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance with FAA regulations. In addition to managing the production floor, the Production Manager will act as the main liaison with customer representatives, conducting daily meetings to ensure excellent communication and customer relations. This includes updating customers on the status of their aircraft, obtaining necessary approvals for man hours and parts, and managing project budgets effectively. The role requires a strong focus on efficiency improvements and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the hangar and production areas, adhering to the 5S principles. Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in production management within the aviation industry, along with a solid understanding of inspection procedures and federal regulations. The ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, is essential, as is the capacity to wear safety equipment and pass drug and alcohol tests. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications, and have a high school diploma or GED.
