About the position

As a Cleanroom Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of our cleanroom facility. This position is designed for a manufacturing production professional who is passionate about managing both people and processes. You will be responsible for ensuring that operational goals and objectives are met, driving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and maintaining high standards of quality and On Time Delivery (OTD) performance. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) in safety and productivity, ensuring adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, and maintaining the cleanroom environment. In this role, you will establish and execute cleanroom monitoring activities, maintain test data, and collaborate with the facility team to manage daily operations. Effective communication will be key as you will need to relay status updates, timelines, and critical issues to all levels of the organization. You will also be responsible for developing standard operating procedures and assisting in their implementation, managing the performance of molding and automated assembly equipment, and serving as a subject matter expert (SME) on automated robotic assembly and packaging equipment. Your responsibilities will include tracking and logging maintenance and calibration schedules, establishing maintenance strategies to improve operating efficiencies, ensuring the availability of required spare parts, and overseeing daily equipment maintenance and cleaning. Additionally, you will manage, train, and develop cleanroom cell staff, ensuring they are well-versed in company policies and specific procedures. You will identify staff development needs, define training requirements, and deliver training while tracking its effectiveness. Safety will be a top priority, and you will develop safety procedures specific to the cleanroom environment, perform safety audits, and coordinate with the EHS Coordinator on safety protocols. Responsibilities

  • Ensure Cell Operational goals and objectives are met.
  • Drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), quality and On Time Delivery (OTD) performance.
  • Identify Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) in safety and productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, policies and practices.
  • Maintain the cleanroom environment.

  • Manage staff and evaluate performance.
  • Identify staff development/training needs.
  • Train employees on new systems and proper operations appropriate for cleanroom molding and assembly operations.
  • Define training requirements and deliver training.
  • Track training effectiveness.
  • Ensure all Cleanroom employees work in a safe manner.
  • Develop required safety procedures specific to the cleanrooms.
  • Perform safety audits of the cells.
  • Train cleanroom employees on safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in cleanroom manufacturing, medical device or plastic molding operations.
  • Experience in Medical device validation.
  • Good technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment, robotics, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to investigate and lead solutions for manufacturing/quality issues.
  • Computer user skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), and ability to learn other computer software / systems.
  • Strong leadership and relation building skills.
  • Effective communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to perform complex tasks in multiple areas.
