The role requires organizing and updating operating procedures continuously and fostering a high morale level among production staff by addressing employee needs, recognizing achievements, and providing ongoing training programs. The Production Manager must meet and maintain all related company objectives and efficiency standards, including metrics such as pounds produced, cases per man hour, yield, safety, sanitation, quality, product specifications, and overtime management. Additionally, the Production Manager is responsible for hiring new employees, managing disciplinary procedures, conducting performance reviews, and overseeing pay increases. The role requires flexibility in working hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and may involve overtime and travel as required. The Production Manager must also train an assistant to handle related duties during absences, ensuring continuity in production operations.

  • 2+ years of experience in a relevant field or equivalent education and training.

  • Leadership qualities to positively influence and delegate responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of conflict management, business negotiation, organization, and decision-making.
  • Efficient working knowledge of Food Plant Quality, HACCP, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions and work independently to resolve quality-related problems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Fresh Foods/CPG industry.
