About the position

We are seeking a dedicated Production Manager to join our startup specializing in pasteurizing nuts and seeds and repacking them for distribution. As a key member of our team, you will oversee all aspects of production and serve as the facility's overall manager, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to food safety standards. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a small team, implementing food safety protocols, and optimizing production processes to meet our business goals. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a positive work environment and maximizing productivity while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a small team of 5-10 employees, fostering a positive work environment and maximizing productivity.
• Implement and maintain stringent food safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., SQF-BRC-Organic).
• Oversee shipping and receiving operations, including inventory management and logistics coordination.
• Utilize industry knowledge to optimize production processes, maintain high-quality standards, and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production goals and support business growth initiatives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in team management within a food production environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
• Demonstrated proficiency in logistics and supply chain management.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Certification in food safety (Gmp compliance).
