About the position

The Production Manager at Plainview Milk Products Cooperative is responsible for overseeing production operations, ensuring compliance with Safe Quality Food Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role involves extensive collaboration with production employees, quality assurance, maintenance teams, and inspectors to ensure timely and accurate documentation and production planning. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and organizational skills, along with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production operations and ensure compliance with Safe Quality Food Practices and GMP.
• Collaborate with production employees, QA department, maintenance team members, and inspectors.
• Ensure all documentation is filled out completely and in a timely manner.
• Manage production planning and equipment process controls.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Supervise and manage production teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Dairy Food Science or Dairy Science preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in managing teams required.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Food Processing, Department Management, Operations, and Manufacturing preferred.
• Working knowledge of Safe Quality Food Practices and enforcement of GMP's.
• Functional knowledge of manufacturing facilities, equipment, processes, and regulations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SQF standards and HACCP preferred, but training will be provided.
