About the position

The Production Manager will oversee manufacturing operations for an EDM manufacturer, ensuring efficient production processes and maintaining quality standards. This role involves leading a team, managing production planning, and ensuring compliance with safety practices while addressing customer and supplier communication regarding quality and delivery issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage production planning and contract review
• Supervise and train production staff responsible for inspection of products and maintenance of equipment
• Manage and report on preventative maintenance activities
• Train employees on safe setup and operation of equipment, part cleaning, handling, and inspection
• Communicate with customers and suppliers on quality and delivery issues
• Assist with complaint resolution and customer questions
• Communicate company goals, policies, and objectives
• Prepare and present results and reports to corporate management
• Ensure compliance with safe work practices

Requirements

• 4+ years of EDM manufacturing and setup experience
• 3 years of supervisory experience
• 3 years of ISO 9000 experience
• Familiarity with standard mechanical inspection tools and techniques
• AS 9100 and Nadcap experience
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Ability to make personnel decisions based on productivity, quality, and competency
