About the position

The Production Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the manufacturing operations within our automotive production facility located in Marion, TX. This position is essential for ensuring that production efficiency and quality standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing production plans and schedules that align with customer demand and production targets. This includes managing and supervising production staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process. In this role, the Production Manager will monitor production processes closely, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering and quality assurance, is vital to ensure that product quality meets or exceeds customer expectations. The Production Manager will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in production and operations. Additionally, the Production Manager will enforce compliance with regulatory standards and company policies, ensuring that all established quality and safety protocols are adhered to. This position requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage a diverse team and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 10+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in production management in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage a team of production staff, including supervisors and operators.
  • Expertise in monitoring and analyzing production data to identify areas for improvement and reduce waste.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships.
  • Experience with Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other quality improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Knowledge of compliance regulations and experience ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols.
